Since having the diff removed all seems well to a certain speed .

30mph on the speedo reads 28 on the Tomtom

45mph on the speed reads 4o on the Tom Tom.

When the speedo shows 80mph im donig 65 on the Tom Tom

Its gets worse faster i go. They did adjust the gap on the sensor because it was very lazy to work ,is it the gap or another problem ?

Daz you need to mount your Tom Tom further up the windscreen to get an accurate reading ... Failing that change the batteries inside the Tom Tom getmecoat

Sounds like mine on the s using the GPS was a revaluation. I do also gain 20 mph when I turn the lights on frown

I did away with the standard sensor and fitted one of mr Heaths unit, the advantage is you can flick the switch and sends a certain number of pulses to the speedo to check they correspond to what it should be reading. That way you can tell if its the speedo reading incorrectly or a sensor fault. That said I dont think this unit is available to purchase anymore.

Not quite sure it's all to do with the tyre size Although I'm pretty sure Daz's are not standard.

Mine are and my speedo still has a laugh when I get up the dial a bit. Really must get it adjusted one day.

mine are 245/40/17 628mm Diameter

Standard 225/50/16 631mm Diameter

0.48% difference

When the speedo is reading 60mph the car is traveling at 59.7mph

Its not enough to be that far out nerd
