I have heard that there were a number of changes between pre vs post 95 Chimaera's. Can anyone advice what they were and if there is a significant difference between the different model years ? Thanks

I am suprised nobody as answered this yet but being a new comer to the tvr scene i think the three main differences are serpetine engine, gearbox(borg warner?)and pas .
I am sure someone will correct me.

Close
The spec has always been quite 'fluid' and there isn't really a defined crossover date for all specification changes.
IIRC.....
Mid 94 - Gearbox changes from Rover to Borg Warner (can be spotted by the position of the door release and the position of Reverse )
95ish - engine change to Serpentine (easy to spot, more belts, and 2 expansion tanks)
Most of the other changes around this time are cosmetic, 95ish the outer door pushes lost the key holes. PAS has always been an option, and never standard (I think) the rear 'bumper' became colour coded as well

Front grille went from mesh to a Cerbie style GRP "bar".. and the indicators lost the mesh too...

Some very early cars have the electric window buttons just behind the gear lever...

..and the early cars had three buttons on the switch panel.. the later ones have two..

The boot & bonnet panels are a slightly different shape on later models - 96 onwards I think

Nooo.. thats the 97 face-lift, not the 95 changes.

Cheers
