Last week came to chimaera and doors wouldn't open, bugger! Luckily car in parents garage and I had only rested the roof on. Any way charged battery with accumate charger for 24 hrs and started fine, but accumate never went green showing full charge. Left on charge now for 72hrs and still not green. Indicates probably battery faulty. Been looking on eBay but wondered if there is a specific size, amp rating etc. Thanks.

Battery Type 072, available from Halfords and other motorfactors.

Although then I got conflicting info:

I'd personally take the battery to a local motor factors and go for the biggest Ah and cranking ampage that fits in the tray :-)

Hi

Just thought I'd share this as my battery was dead as last weekend, bought a new 072 from bristol batterys sat,
Nowt wrong with the old one so now have 2 ! But told me that the conditoner needs to be at least 10% of the ampage of the batt otherwise it will never charge fully.went home checked my conditoner, 750ma! 10% more like 1%!!
So ordered a 8 amp conditioner now.

I got a new one recently, couldnt get an 072 locally so they gave me an Exide 708 70ah.

I brought the old one with me and this one was the strongest one they hat that would fit in the box.
