imminent purchase to placate the Mrs.
It's not the most romantic of presents, wouldn't she prefer jewellery or perhaps perfume........
I'm with the AA, don't know if it's worth it as I haven't had to use breakdown cover for the 3 years I've had the car.
Ted has a review of the different breakdown suppliers on the 'Review' section

Brittania rescue. 3 cars and 2 people fully covered with all the extras plus Euro cover (for any journeys upto 90 days).
£120.
Tell I sent you and I get another fiver off!
Just changed from the AA to Green Flag as they charge less for similar cover and there are no penalties for more than 5 call out's.
Cover is on the person and not the car which can be usefull.
I also considered GEM Motoring Assist which is even cheaper ie membership + partner £59.95 on a special offer.
Normally £65.00.
I hope this helps .

Ah no... Sorry that's not the sort of products I am after (as my Aunt used to work for the RAC and I get a lovely discount as they haven't figured out she has left yet, 2yr+ ago now)
I am on about the "inusrance" policies that cover the cost of repairs.
Damn the Mrs knowledge of cars and "press held view" (Nb I Always use the Russle Harty fingers when I mention that... seems to help a bit for thoughs of you in a similar position) That TVRs are unreliable and expensive to fix.

Chris43, you might like to look at this. Some people on here will no longer use them.
I'm with the AA for breakdown. I've had to call three times this year
(twice for the Clio, before the reliability wallies start). They arrived within half-an-hour on each occasion.
I don't know how much I paid this year though
