While I have my dash off my 96 Chim for an inspection of the hidden spaghetti I have decided to overhaul my fascia as the veneer has come away.

Everything, Dials ect, came away nicely except for the pesky Ice Warning LED glued to the metal with a small volcano of Araldite.

Anyone know what kind of a fitting is under/inside that lump of glue/plastic and how it's connected to its front of panel bezel and can it be removed in tact. ?

When I re-veneered mine I had plenty of Araldite around the LED's on the heater panel (Griff). Araldite, while hard, is brittle and can be chipped away. I did this very delicately with a few scalpels.
