I would have removed the tank and taken to the local engineering shop for a little tig job but your idea sounds interesting. Be easier just to drill a hole and use a fitting. Got something in mind?

Not really any idea's yet I think from memory I welded a bigger diameter pipe in the original pickup wondering if I could get another one next to it as from memory again it screwed out the tank...

It's way out at the moment, fairly sure it's overfuelling, running rough at low revs, and not getting enough air at high revs. I'ts likely to be February/March before I give the car up for the install, and I want to optimise what I've got, i.e. see what she'll actually produce NA when fully set up (lack of air was identified by Rob moons ago) before the hair dryer goes on.

No it hasn't been down the strip. And why are you laughing Neal? Huh? c'mon, spill it wink

Boring in comparison.
already gad wheels off and cleaned insides
Replace brown wheel bolts with new ones!
Change brake fluid
New rear pads
Paint calipers ( not bright red!)
Do wheel arches with rubberised pot 15.
Find the annoying squeak from the roll bar!
see if I can get drivers door electrics to work. Windows fine , but speaker in door and cig lighter don't work- any tips helpful.
The seal round the hoop? Split, replace.

Ideal world, re roof in blue, car is starmist blue with black roof, the material getting tatty and think blue suits car.

Finally in spring , full independent service, £600 full monty, oil, gearbox, diff, plugs, all filters, timing set up etc.

Paint work poor at rear edges crazed, but think nothing for that except full respray.

Oddly looking forward to it!

+1 The only winter jobs I have (in respect of the chim) are: 1) take off cover and store away. 2) Drive to nearest Shell station, fill up with Vmax and go on many hoons. If sky is blue then drop the hood and turn up heater.
