After putting my foot down in fifth from low revs on the weekend it now seems that my clutch is slipping. Is a clutch change a real pig of a job on a Chim?

I've changed clutches on other vehicles before, but guess there's a cost benefit analysis to be done here and if it's going to take me all weekend i'd rather book her in ... (any recommendations in the South East ares?!)

Cheers

Had the clutch on my 98 car changed at the factory service dept 2 years ago. They billed me 4 hours labour for the job.

Just had mine in for that exact same reason. Cost £500, 240 for the parts and the rest labour at £35/hr so around 7.5hrs. Apparently they have to take the central console out and access gear box from above?
