Hi all

Has anyone got a spare 500 badge, or know where i can get one? They seem to be very rare...

Reason being I'm upgrading from a 4ltr to 5ltr engine.

Thanks

Adam

You guys with your 500 badges better keep them under lock and key wink

A random idea chaps.......places like vistaprint allows you to upload a design and have it printed out in vinyl / sticker form.

http://www.vistaprint.co.uk/bumper-stickers.aspx?&...

Clearly you will need to create your badge design first on microsoft paint or coral draw etc

But for £2.74 per sticker its somewhat of a bargain and a tad cheaper than the real thing

You could even mount the sticker on a piece of aluminum or something for a rasied effect

Just my 2 cents :-)

A vinyl sticker?! Good God man you'll be wanting us to buy glass fibre cars next! wink

By the way the 450 badge is even more expensive.

Because the vendor understands that the 450 owner is not having to spend so much 'hard earned' on his car due to its good reliability. He is essentially taking pity on the 500 owner.

biggrin

Makes me laugh

The gold badge option cost more than those cost outright from RG, when ordering the car from new.
They are a bargain at that price.

You can't run a TVR on an MG budget.

Who cares about 500 badges ! I would rather put the money towards better brakes or something .Why has it got to be a TVR badge ?

My 98 500 in Highland Pearl (a rare and very fast colour) just has 'Chimaera' on the rear badge. This combination of colour and simple badge gives it the appearance of being understated and subtle, modest yet good looking in a conservative kind of way that seems to attract people who understand and are appreciative of the finer things in life, things that exude sophistication and class.

Thankyou for listening

I'm breaking my Chimaera 500 and have a good 'chimaera 500' badge. I upgraded from a 400 to 500 and remember paying lots for the badge! Very rare. Make me a good offer ;-)
