MOT question again
Discussion
My MOT is due and I've been told by my TVR dealer that any garage can do it - in fact they use several in the area. They do not subscribe to the suggestion that standard brake testing causes any damage. I know this has been dealt with before, but at the risk of opening a can of worms, what's the verdict from those that know?
can cause issues with limited slip diffs
went through the whole thing before. strictly speaking it should be done on the road with a hand held device (can't rememeber what it's called)! However not many places do this and I was told that as the speeds used on rollers are so low, it shouldn't cause any problems with the LSD. I worked on the principle that the garage that does my mot does them all for a main dealer and if something was going to go wrong, it would have done by now - hopefully not for me though! not very scientific i'm afraid....

I raised this once before. Have a look at this link. www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?f=8&h=&t=78041
