whirring noise

hi my chimaera 40 hc has done 60000 and since i purchased it it has always made a whirring sound coming from the rear of the car when moving, has anyone any ideas as to wewther this is normal or not?

If you mean the fuel pump, yes its normal.

no! im not a woman! its not the fuel pump it sounds like either diff or wheel bearing, i just wanted to know if these were common problems

If it's been doing it for 60k then I guess it's normal, for your car anyway. Sounds like the diff, is it all the time or on the over-run? There's nothing close to the prop is there?

its all the time but sometimes it can be quiet other times loud, im not too worried just wondered if it was the norm
