Sorting out my cracked dash.....and considered a metal one.....in my view they look great especially with a dark interior.

Having looked around for a while a spotted one on eBay that sold for over 200 quid I thought of a plan B that would look great and not break the bank.

Did some research and found this stuff (see pics) even I was amazed with the look / feel of the finished article.

In summary it is an anti bubble vinyl in a textured brushed aluminium finish. So it not only looks but also actually feels like the surface of the genuine article.

Thoughts?

As someone who has done the dash in carbon fibre vinyl and (currently) alcantara, that looks good.

Looks good.Prefer the carbon fibre effect myself.

Carbonfibre effect vinyl in silver. About £14.00 from fleabay, which is enough to cover the dash twice over!

Hi,

My Marcos is in the paint shop as we speak and just need the interior to finish a 4 yr resto, my intention was for a leather dash covering in black but quite like the brushed aluminium one you have.

Any chance of a few more photo's of the dash in the car to see how it looks with the rest of the interior,

Regards,

Martyn....

I've bin thinking of a slightly padded leather look, so clocks pinch it down abit, old bye-plane cockpit kind of look, even thinking of changing clocks for classic range? Chrome bezels, etc. Just an idea?
