Took the front wheels of this morning and noticed that on the passenger side to the right there is a bracket with a hole in that is connnected to the exhaust system that looks as though it should be connected to the chassis as this also as a hole in the same position
am i a bolt missing if so should i be worried
cheers disco bob.
hope this makes sense.

Does it rattle? Chances are you should have a bolt in there, but if nothing is any looser than normal, then leave it.

Don't think there should be any connection between the exhaust and the chassis here - are you sure you aren't looking at an exhaust clamp (with a bolt missing)?

Where does this connect to ,i am at work and am trying to picture where the clamp is.
It is definetely something to do with the exhaust.

Hi Bob, Yes the exhaust should be bolted to the engine block at that point, not the chasis. If there is a small gap between the lug on the exhaust and the block then just use an over sized nut as a spacer. I'm not sure what the thread size of the bolt is though. I've got one kicking about in the garage somewhere, I'll have a look for it and measure it up.

In any case mine has been running without that bolt for 3 months without any problems (cos I forgot to put it back). Don't worry.

Bolt size looks like 5/16" Whitworth (1/2" AF) by 1" long. Best of luck.
