Paralleling batteries...
Discussion
Next bit to buy for the old girl is a decent battery ... I was going to get a pair of PC925 Odysseys and run them in parallel but there's a guy not too far from me selling a pair of PC1700 Odysseys and I think I can get a single 1700 into the same footprint as a pair of 925's
The 925s are 14kg each and the 1700 is 28kg so the same weight as a pair of 925s, the 1700 is 4cm taller so, mounted on its side, will be 4cm further into the boot from the bulkhead than the 925s would be.
Anyone got any good reasons not to go that route? I know that securely mounting the 1700 will be a pain but I reckon I can make myself a good solid battery mounting.
