Glad it's all worked out.
Did you sort the little niggles that you had?

I still have to get the oil leak sorted, but it is very small and I check the oil before I go out in it. It's nice clean oil that is coming out (a few drips under the car in the morning) and appears to be after it has been driven. It had an oil change before I picked it up, so I would seem that it is the new oil leaking. I'll get this sorted after Xmas. I have tightened up the PAS hoses at the bulkhead and that has stopped the dripping onto the back of the farside rocker cover.

As for the oil pressure sender, I haven't bothered with it yet. I spoke to Fernies and they said they would happily check it for me, but it is a long way to travel for an oil sender. The car has been running fine to be honest and I'm sort of getting used to it's quirks. I'm so used to modern oil burners, that I've forgotten that cars like this can be quite quirky and watching the dials can sometimes put the wind up you. I've been running the car since without any issues and Fernies assured me that my car (nor any RV8 TVR's) have any history oil pressure issues and recommended that I check the sender and connections at the rear of the dial (they know the car). It did have a new oil pump fitted at Austec about 6k miles ago, so I'm trying not to worry about it too much.

I need to get the passenger side wing mirror electrics fixed and the speakers are flakey to say the least. Saying that, I haven't even bothered to play with the CD or even check the multi-changer yet, as the engine sounds awesome. I'd also need a seriously loud stereo to drown the engine out. I expected niggles, but really wanted it to be sound mechanically, which it appears to be.

I've just bought some Magnacors, plugs and extenders, so together with the new dizzy cap and rotor, I'm hoping this should help with the rough idle when cold. It is due for a service, so my plan is to get it done sometime March/ April, ready for summer and then sort a few mods. smile

The more I drive it, the more I get addicted. I got out with the roof down for an hour on Boxing Day, complete with my new TVR beanie I received for Xmas... sad but true!laugh

Cheers
Chris
