This was after i sleeved the standard system and left main and precats in..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01x4Cs_PHlY&fea...

This is Phil leaving with my sleeved exhaust fitted to his Chim (main and precats still in)

http://s742.photobucket.com/albums/xx63/golflion/?...

This was after i removed the main and precats and fitted Clives beautiful Y piece

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hM36fIddQg&lis...

Well, pre cats out, original Y piece decatted, and rear silencer still in tact.

I've reverted back, after hearing a few over the last few months, and decided it was a mistake to put cat back in.

The sound is amazing, especially under acceleration

So why did you not like Clive`s Y piece ?,must be a far better sound than the standard dustbin Y piece with the cat`s removed .

I run a standard exhaust,ACT decatt Y piece and pre cats out , love it .

If you bought your Y piece new did give it a thousand miles or so to bed it in .. Mine sounded awfull , after some perserverance it all came together ..

Are you off your head confused how can you go from the Clive F decat to the stock dustbin (but decatted) seeking aural pleasure? yikes im lost coffee sleeving IMO is like putting a Lazer or Scorpion or some other Mickey Mouse equivalent slip-on exhaust can/silencer onto a Superbike laugh

Firstly,

Alex i cant afford that sound, and dont have the know how to create it.

First got the car in 2006,loved it then went on this bloody forum!!

Sleeved the exhaust and just loved it!

Engine rebuild by Rob at V8D,removed pre cats at same time!

Car so loud hated it when idealing!

Topic on PH regarding best combo for exhaust set up and Daz(Silicone Kid) sent me in the right direction.

Bought Clive Y piece, fitted and loved the sound, went for MOT and to be honest the Y piece was a bh to get off,and i just thought is it worth all the hassle,so sold Clives to a guy in Australia!

Loved the Clive Y piece, but against the old existing manifolds,it didnt do it for me,manifolds needed attention in one way or another.

Managed to get a second hand original Y and had it decatted,so hear i am,and to me if you have ever driven a 4.3 decat Griff this baby now sounds and drives the same.

Point of it all,you dont know what works for you until you try it!!

I regard it as a safety feature ... if they can hear me coming then in theory they won't walk out in front of me...
