Stop being tight and get a Bosch 044 hehe

I would say 400bhp there done!

I changed the feed pipe on mine as well from the tank to 16mm. You need to also change the wiring as well as the 044 draws much more amps. I'm about to add another to mine just getting the tank welded at the moment for dual an outlets.

I want to see if I can get away with using the stock pump with my lump stock so I can iron out any problems before I start making lots of power

Twin 044's should be fine for me smile Got to commit to another pump but already have a single 044 that are good for 700bhp. Upgrading to 10AN feed line and 8AN return. I think 1000hp will be stupidly overkill but 650 should be nice smile

1000 is in reserve only to whip your ass lol

I have the 044 pump ,what i did is run a chunky cable from the battery via a fuse then pulled the old supply in to the boot and used it for switching the relay ..The reason did this because thin wires were only giving 11volts to the pump ..I now get around 13 volts .

This is the bracket you want ,fixes useing original threaded bar . Its large enough to fit the rubber buffer..

Sod it, I'm going to get a fuel pressure gauge in the dash and find out exactly how much the bhp the stock fuel pump can handle,

Obviously a dumb question but gotta ask - what's the standard pump then as I had always assumed that it was a Bosch 044 type...

Nothing special just a Bosch Range Rover pump. Fitted to all sorts of cars in the 80's and 90's

ive seen lots of the 044 pumps used to support upto 650hp, running 60 ps1, with no issues, but would agree on ensuring the power feed is upto the job. stock isn't.
