Oil filter

Hi guys,purchased a unipart oil filter yesterday part no. GFE 487. I told him it was for a TVR Chimaera, but on inspection against the one on the car it is slightly longer. The Chimaera pages states unipart no. GFE 320 but this [i was told] is no longer available.
Obvious question will it fit? being slightly longer.There are other alternatives listed on "the pages" im just wondering should i attempt to fit it or just return it.
I will know myself tomorrow when i have time to do it, just thought i ask on here first.

If in doubt...Don't. Some manufactorers changed the canister size on oil filters such as the Zetec filter, I would want to be 100% sure in your case.

This older thread would indicate that 487 is fine as it was already on the car. But then, you've probably done it by now
