I know it seems like alot of money but from what I gather they prep their cars well and the 12 month warranty is worth having...
I ve had an insurance quote from flux, 25yr old/ garaged/ 2000 miles per year / 3 points... Around £800 which seems quite reasonable?

They have a very good reputation, and if they say the chassis is top notch (and they do say they have replaced the outriggers, which can cost you £4000), then it will be. I have a 400 and love it. Well quick enough for me. Make sure you have good tyres and don't be sudden and silly with your righ foot.

The insurance quote is probably about right. It's your age, as you know. Have you tried Mannings? And there are others if you can find the correct, quite recent, thread on PH..

If they're giving a 12 month warranty and the outriggers are done, I'd say it's well worth the extra expenditure.

I purchased my car from Fernhurst earlier this month and can recommend them. They do know their stuff and will price accordingly. It is worth going down to their showroom and having a look around. There are some lovely cars there!
