Hi,
Do you want to chance using second hand items?
They are available new from Real Steel for £163 a set and also from TVR Power which were £177 when I bought mine a couple of years ago.
When you build the motor up just remember that adjustable push rods are a larger diameter than normal rods and you will need to enlarge the holes that the rods pass through in the cylinder heads to allow them to move without coming into contact with the head. I ended up dummy building the heads on to my '500' motor a few times so that I could check that there was clearance round each pushrod and then stripped them down again to enlarge the holes as needed.
The biggest PITA part of this dummy build process was stripping/rebuilding the valves in each of the heads each time and cleaning them both down so that I could be absolutely sure that I wasnt dropping swarf into the engine block when I came to dummy build the heads back on to the block. Not difficult, just time consuming.
I also used an old set of cylinder head gaskets and bolts for the dummy build ups and then replaced with new for the final build up.
Hope it works out okay, whatever you choose to do.
Cheers
Marty

Just missed my set for sale in the classifieds. I'm breaking my chim and had a good set of these with only 3000ish miles on them!Gassing Station | Chimaera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
