speed sensor wire
Discussion
This may not help, as mine is a 99 Chimaera.
However, if it is the same, then here is where it goes. The sensor is on top of the diff, middle of the rear axle. The wires come up into the car almost vertically, through a hole under the triangle at the rear of the transmission tunnel cover (two tone leatherette arm rest thingy down the centre of the car). The triangle is between the seat backs, and I use it to keep my keys and sunglasses in.
To get at the wires, you have to remove that transmission tunnel cover (screws are at the front bottom corners, below the dash, and at the back are under the pull out floor of the triangle. There is then a second fibreglass panel under that, which is held in by screws and glue. I don't think you need to remove that, as far as I remember (I had to remove both to get at my gear lever gaiter fixings, so cannot remember for certain). The cable from the speed sensor runs along between these panels and joins a mini wiring loom that also contains the electric window switches and a couple of other cables (central locking button and an alarm box on my car), running up into the dash at this point.
If this doesn't make a lot of sense to you, just PM me and we can have a chat on the phone.
