For some reason both wing mirror adjusters have suddenly stopped working. Anyone know if there is a common fuse or relay ?

Its a '98 400 if that helps.

PS I'd do a search but its still not working on the forum.

On my 95 it's on the same 10 amp fuse as the boot release.

It's detailed which fuse it is in the owners handbook.

Good call, thanks..........checked the handbook and the fuse is Mirrors + Boot Release + Instruments.

As the instruments and Boot Release all work OK then I guess the fuse is OK, therefore I'll need to look elsewhere.......

The Steve Hearth bible ahs a number of different layouts, some of which include a 10 amp fuse for just mirrors. It's a 10 amp and tends to be about the sixth fuse fom the right.

I have a 99 400, and need to do some tests on it tomorrow, so will check my fuse layout and report back.

PS my handbook's relay layout didn't actually match the car - dipped headlights were top left, not second from the left......

As an aside, my mirrors blew about 3 10 amp fuses before I upgraded to a 15 amp replacement.

All (and I mean all....) fuses checked and found to be OK.

So started at the control panel and it appears this is where the prolem is. With some firmer button pressing I can get it to work OK and it appears the micro switches that select lhs/rhs mirrors are intermittently at fault.

Is the door mounted control panel/switches available as a new item ?

Dismantle switch, clean and tension contacts.
