Okay, I have had the oil leaks identified on the Chim.

1. the oil sensor on the under the block, so I presume this is where the sender attaches, which maybe why my gauge readings aren't right
2. On the shaft connection from the engine to the gearbox (large O ring seal)
3. On the prop shaft at the rear of the gearbox (large O ring seal again)

All oil levels are good, but I obviously want to get the leaks sorted. I was informed that the gearbox and clutch will need to be removed to access the large O ring seals. It sounds expensive or am I worrying?

Anyone in the South East with some knowledge a decent garage and some ramps fancy helping me for a few quid? I'd rather learn and pay, than just pay!!!

Good idea that, I hope you get the help you need. Get reading, or ask, try to get educated a little on engine breathing too if your not sure! Goodluck.

I'd like to get stuck in, but no garage space. Doing it on the newly block paved drive would mean the firing squad for me, plus we have the neighbour from hell. She would come out ranting about some restricted covenant...

WTF is that?

If someone told you there was oil leaking from there don't let them touch your car.

Theres a shaft in the gearbox that goes into the bellhousing (which would be a gearbox input shaft seal leak) or there is the crankshaft at the rear of the block (crankshaft rear seal).

That's the one... is it a large job?
