Following a post last month I was looking at some ramps so I could attempt a few jobs myself. During my search, I came across the link below.

Thoughts? Wood is quite strong under compression. I'm not so sure about his ramps though!

Saw these ones too. Look really good, but not cheap, especially once you add in the trolley jacks and delivery. Incidentally, do you need a very low trolley jack for the Chim or will a standard one do?

Look compact, but very pricey for four.

Get as low a trolley jack as you can. I have to jigger about finding a dip in the drive to get my fairly low Halfrauds one under the Chim. The man at Kwap Fit had the same problem with his last week when I discovered a soft tyre 50 miles from home and dived in there to check it out. You will need one that is marked as extra low.

Looks great but amused at anything weighing 350kg being described as 'portable' smile

That's what I thought.

Looking forward to my mechanic son dragging it from our attached garage to our open one where he does all his private work smile.

I'll have to take a deposit so he'll return it!

Agreed it is very heavy but they provide wheels so it is easy to move around the workshop

They look really good and not that much more than some of the ramp systems. The problem is, when you get an over-engineered automated washing line like this, then it will get more use and can hang more clothes... which means more shopping. Careful what you wish for! wink
