PS mine doesn't go flat in two weeks.....

The power needed to put sufficient Amp/Hours into a flat battery with no mains, won't come from anything other that crock-clips to the battery terminal via a charged battery, IMVHO!! You'll have to get into the passengers footwell!!

Solar needs something approaching 3 foot by 2 foot (and that's only about 80watts during spring/summer!!)

Soon be spring..........

If you want to avoid grubbing about in the passenger footwell, there is another less back breaking way to get some charge into your battery.
Your positive battery terminal is connected to your starter motor via a thick red high amp cable.
From there it goes through the infamous 100 amp fuse, finally ending up at the back of your alternator.
So the heavy terminal on back of your alternator is in effect no different to the positive terminal of your battery.
This means you can simply run a charge to your dead battery down this cable by attaching the positive crocodile clip of your battery charger to it.
But where to attach the negative crocodile clip of your battery charger?
The negative terminal on your battery is connected to the chassis, so in effect any part of the chassis where you can get good contact is no different to the negative terminal of your battery.
So, with the positive crocodile clip of your battery charger on the heavy terminal on the back of the alternator, & the negative crocodile clip of your battery charger connected to the chassis, you have remotely connected your charger correctly to the battery without all that hassle of getting down in the footwell.
The best chassis point to attach your battery charger's negative crocodile clip is the diagonal tube behind the front wheel on the divers side, you will see a stud here with some earth wires already attached to it, you could also attach your battery charger's negative crocodile clip to the engine as the block is also earthed.
When you have time & the weather is better, I recommend fitting a BatteryBrain (Gold model with remote fobs).
The BatteryBrain works like this:
1) Park up
2) Lock the doors with TVR fob as normal
3) With the doors locked use the BatteryBrain remote to disconnect the battery
The car will remain deadlocked but the battery is now fully disconnected.
A disconnected healthy battery will retain sufficient charge to start you car after six months of inactivity, no mains powered trickle charger or solar charger required.
5) When returning to the car use the BatteryBrain remote to re-connect the battery.
6) Uunlock the doors with your TVR fob as normal
7) Get in & drive off like you only drove the car yesterday
There's no activation of the alarm or door locking immobiliser weirdness, it's as simple as pressing a button.
Make sure your battery is in a good state before you start relying on the BatteryBrain, but as long as its in good health your battery drain & no mains power problems will be a thing of the past.
BatteryBrain, it's a simple, reliable, & proven solution.
Just make sure you buy the "Gold" model with the remote fobs.

So, got her started ran for 2hrs seemed fine, started ok again. Put on ctek and left for 2 days and all fine.......Until today ! trying its best but not good enough , called RAC and they tested alternator and battery, alternator good battery knackered !! They sourced correct battery with 5 yr garentee and fitted for £110. Guy was very helpful and changed it in 30 mins using mirrors and small bladed screwdriver to line up bolt holes.
