Struggling to tick over
Discussion
For the first time since i have had the car it really stuggled to tick over this morning.
Car started first time as normal but after i reversed out of the garage just using the idle,i touched the throttle and it died on me.
Then i left it for a bit so as not to flood it and it just managed to fire up but it was very lumpy.
This also happened when i left work at dinner.
I cleaned the stepper motor a couple of weeks ago is there anything else i can check or is it because the weathers turned colder and i need to let it warm up before i set off.
cheers disco bob.
p.s car was ok as soon as i got on the move.

Cleaned stepper two months ago re-cleaned today not dirty.
checked wiring to temp sender, and juggled the ECE.
checked all plugs
car running very lumpy at 14-18 thousand revs and low throttle.
very obvious in third.
Like a kangaroo (not quite) but getting there.

no wonder its lumpy
Just a thought. When you clean the stepper motor valve plug do you also clean the valve seat? I usually clean this with a cotton bud. The seat is normally dirtier than the plug.
