Expansion tank fixings

Could any one tell me where i can get some of the 8mm threaded alloy inserts that fit into the top front chassis tube for the expansion tank to bolt into,i think they expand into place when you tighten the bolt similar to a pop rivet, many thanks for any help/advice regards Steve.

To be honest I've not noticed the fixing types on mine, but from what you are describing I think you may be talking about hank bushes. Hank bushes are inserted into the hole and then tapped with a hammer to set them in position. You could get hold of these from any sheet metal fabrication companies that may be in your area.

Thanks for your help ,i posted on the Griff web site as well and they are called Riv nuts 20p each, for some reason TVR used alloy riv nuts to fix into a steel cross member to bolt down a steel bracket using steel bolts i got some steel ones and fitted them ,so job sorted thanks again good luck Steve.
