Picked up the new Chim yesterday, sounds like the trust bearing is on its way out (noise goes when clutch dipped), anybody know what sort of money to get it done? or wait untill clutch needs replacing. (its a very early 4.3 precat with the SDI box)

Maybe it will quieten down with use if the car has been stood around for a while. Why don't you use the car for a fit and see if any other faults develop?

Wait until it dies before you go replacing.

If it's anything like my rover, you'll get a oily smell in the cabin due to leaking fluid and then it will fail 3 weeks later, on Christmas day laugh

Mine makes a terrible racket if I dip the clutch and rev it, a real horrible vibration too. Other than that it's ok. It's fine on idle and if revved in neutral. I've got a little judder onpulling away, but it's been like that for 18 months and never been a problem. I'm just going to wait until I need another new clutch (probably won't be long...)
