I've been over to Powers in Cov today to have a chip change, and a look over recent engine re build, didn't cost me anything, so thats a good start then to hang around the boys when there busy finishing and fettling 3 cars to a wonderful note, then just standing next to a lovely V8 and a six engine in re build, the chap telling me this and that, I love it I do. Bloody cooool Place. I'm not on commission or owt. I just had to say I came to Tvr with love and trepidation...... Even worse bought one with a bad engine, trepidation grows, much pain later, she goes like new and it's been really enjoyable to have such confidence in the work,,,, does anyone know how many they've built there, must be thousands! For Alls said and done a Tvr engine doing 240,000 miles, like a Volvo. That's amazing. Must be on the motorway all day! I suppose it's because there local and Cov has such history in engineering that I'm bigging them up but there's always so many coool cars there I love going over. They don't like it so much, laugh. To all you guys busting a gut helping us lot out I salute you. Jammy barstads!!!!!!

He he he he he he. I knew you'd say something like that, no he was busy timing something, and I annoy him! Oh and you!??!? Come on I do love these places, wished Id done more when I was younger, worked with a few engine re builds when young, ahhhh should have discovered tvr then, am I kissing ass to much, I don't know but the lads there are a crack! Look normally it costs a fortune to go near these places today it didn't and I came away with no hunting, instant engine response, not pressed the loud pedal yet but she sounds brill, crisp and all. Daz your engines a monster, what person had the balls to build it for you! You funny focker.

I must admit, even a quick visit to Colin at TVRSS ends up lasting at least an hour biggrin

Just wish I could somehow steal the knowledge from him, some kind of mind swap device may be needed....

Yep me too. I see them take a deep breath when I walk in, worse still I pick things up and put them down somewhere else!!!! it's just great really. Fancy opening a garage!?? Trouble is it's takes you two days to fit a boiler, and three wks to turn up so Phazed said. Joke joke joke. can't work smilies I'm crap, Do you have your car on the road so to speak! Wheels look nice. I'm looking forward to a drive down to Surrey on sunday. First long drive since re build, say nowt!!!! She's ready to go, I'm gagging to have a drive tonight but no, "for god sake man grow up" new chip and all, when I think about it in real terms, even if you re built the whole car it woould still be cheaper and amillion times better than anything else for the money. Ive had a turbulent time the last few years, the car is helping me focus, nonsense it helps my heart to beat! I never really thought i would be THIS into it! I'm sure this forum has alot to do with why it's so enjoyable, knowone else understands the point, the times I've thought, Christ I'm not the only one who thought this or that. It's a great place to share your passion for engineering, even if your not one. Anyway keep up the cutting to the truth type reporting I think you should be on tv replace J Carr and have all his money your that funny. I'm real busy and got to get up early, take care you twisted son of a gun.
