Just compared on line, their 888's are 50 quid more expensive then R1Rs for 255/40/17s??

UK tyres are about 20 quid cheaper.

I don't know about those two, but I have the Falken 452's at the moment on the Tuscan.

I have just bought the Federal RSR'S, which for a budget trackday tyre, have good reports. I am hoping they will be a step up from the 452's, which I have no complaints about.

I would also recommend Federal 595 RSR's

The federal 595 RSR`s don`t do many sizes ! worst out the lot .They only do a 205 in 16"

Daz, search the lotus web pages, they "discovered" the Advan AD08 a year or two ago. A number of TVR Speed Champs really like it's grip and performance over any other List 1A

It has many great features for a List 1 A tyre (888s & RiRs are List B), it's nearly as grippy as List 1B rubber, but suffers from heat if used on Track days. But a high quality tyre - far better than a Hankook.

The Hankook RS2 is no longer made, and the new Hankook RS3 is not E marked for road use

The Yoko Ad08 and the Federal RSR are both road and race tyres ..
