How the hell does that work?
I'll let you know after a bit more digging and headscratching Peter

Sooo, when are you back Richard?
Er, looking like next Sunday/Monday, which takes all of March out the equation unfortunately... Mucho jobs to do before logging WOT, then Phil R's going to work some magic before I RR the old girl..... We'll have to compare maps
Bosch have an ABS motorsports aftermarket system that will interface with an ignition to provide traction control, (and launch) that is programmable with car weight, dimensions and a hundred other parameters and has a "volume" control to determine how out shape you let it get before it reins you in. It has 4 wheel sensors and yaw sensor and such like... if I ever get it in the Tuscan...... (fade to dream sequence...)

Any idea of price for such a piece of kit leerdam ? Correct me if I'm wrong, I think the MS2 launch control is a combination of RPM limit at standstill, and it cutting back on power if it senses the RPM is climbing faster than the car can possibly accelerate (adjustable).
The nicest part about this as far as I'm concerned is that if you have no CATs, you can set spark cut as the RPM limit at standstill and you'll get a rally style explosion symphony out the exhaust.

While I was writting the code for Launch Control for the original MS-Extra firmware, I tested it in my garage on the Cobra.
I laid the laptop on the floor near the drivers door and triggered the spark cut system to keep the engine rpm from increasing.
After getting carried away with the sound of the spark cut, I turned the engine off, reached down for the laptop to find it was covered in petrol!
Side exhausts and spark cut dont mix well with laptop screens!

So the answer would be spark and fuel cut then no?I laid the laptop on the floor near the drivers door and triggered the spark cut system to keep the engine rpm from increasing.

Oh and keeping the laptop off the floor lol!
