Hi all,
I've seen the old postings on shocks, and I contacted Tower View for a set and was told £175 per corner. I thought someone said they were nearer £100 per corner, and someone even said that AVOs were about 70 quid.

I'm not too fussed about top notch performance, so anyone know where I can lay my mitts on some decent ones nearer the prices I've seen mentioned here?

Cheers

They're good, but £175 does sound a bit steep. Maybe we're suffering from their popularity. AVOs and Spax would be a lot cheaper if you're prepared to put up with the performance and reliability issues. I'm not and I wouldn't recommend them, but it isn't my money.

If you have Konis as standard you can probably get them rebuilt quite a lot cheaper than that. Alternatives, I think Ledas would cost you around £150 a corner, Nitrons start at around £250.

I've currently got Bilsteins, and I have to say that 5 years and 48K miles isn't a very impressive lifetime on a car that only gets used for normal road driving.
