I have, over the last few months, spent lots on beastie. This is because I love her, and she's worth it. More new shiny bits have been ordered and are on there way. She's provisionally booked into Sportmotive in April for some eye surgery. Sorry, faired in headlamps. I am hoping that by the end of April the majority of outstanding jobs (currently numbering 30) will have been attended to.

However, I have a problem. A big one. I will never let beastie go, or forsake her. She will always be my No1. But.

Just lately I have found myself scanning the PH classifieds, looking at..... 911 turbo's. I can't afford one. Because I'm supposed to be buying a house. But they're an investment, surely? Man Maths proves this to be the case.... They're practical, reliable, good looking, and effing quick. Bit like beastie then really....

Maybe this obsession will disappear when beastie and I are reunited tomorrow night (after a four week separation)

I hope she doesn't find out what I've been doing. I don't think she'd be very understanding.

It's only window shopping after all.... Isn't it?

It’s a slippery slope... and once the temptation gets hold of you, that’s it and you’re hooked! eek
Nights thinking of how well it will go... and that body shape!!lick.... you just have to get your hands on it at whatever cost!!!! wobble

Best advice I can give is stop looking now!... or even better, don’t go there in the first place!! Keep your eyes for the one you love!....blabla

Unfortunately only this weekend I have succumbed to the exact same problem... rolleyes

I now have a new Freelander 2

Get that supercharger fitted. That 911 will seem slow and useless then.

Can't fight it sadly.

I've only had my Tamora four months and thinking of bikes again!

- and there's nothing at all wrong with the Tamora.

Chilliman get a grip of yourself buddy, you talk with such passion for your girl..... My eyes water, then try and fall for some rich bird type motor, nothing wrong with it, go rent hire borrow one shag it to death then come back to the girl you really want to cuddle. i toyed with getting a classic 911 phew, imagine how much it would cost? Nothing like your own Tvr , by the time youve owned it a year it's all new anyway, I love the individuality of the Tvr, sort of bespoke. One offs every one of them! Rare rare rare! They will be if we keep putting them in scrap yards!!! Lol

Window shopping.

I "fell out" with TVR when I had a bad Tuscan. I sent it back, and vowed to never ever ever have another. Ever.

I bought me a Audi TT Roadster.

One week later I was passing Fernhursts. No harm in popping in for a cup of tea.

Came out with a Chimaera.

That's window shopping for you. biggrin

It started with a Merc
Or DB9 for forty grand
I would have looked a berk
It wasn't quite the car I'd planned

And then I thought "no don't be daft"
"you can't take it anywhere"
And everyone would just have laffed
And thought I was so square

They weren't the ones for me, oh
No they weren't the ones for me, oh

It started just like this
I popped into my local place
And there too good to miss
Was the little car with so much pace

A TVR was there
It was the one for me
A blue Chimaera there
It was meant to be

And now my wallet's bare
Mods and upgrades to be done
Wheels and tyres to spare
And I'm having fantastic fun

Now if that's not a number if reasons to stay with your hot chick, fking hell the first decent bit of song writing I've read in ages, lol, are you going to be the singer in the Tvr band. Looks like you got the job! See what a toughing bunch we are!
