I've got a small lake sitting under my feet after a decent downpour! I know they all do this but how do you stop it, are there any well known leak points and how do you stop them?
Cheers,
Alex

Fortunately I havn't suffered from this problem - yet! But I think one main cause can be the seal around the brake fluid reservoir. I remember reading somewhere that this can separate and allow rain water through to the footwell.

Take some good quality sealant and seal all the grommets and any otherapertures you can get to. Failing that it may well be the seal around the brake fluid reservoir as previously mentioned. Don't be afraid to be liberal with the goo!

Good luck.

Steve.

Wander,

If the leak is in the front drivers footwell check the sealant around the brake reservoir and if necessary reseal, If it's behind the seats as well I would proof the hood as they leak through the stitching. Both are easy fixes, use meths to degrease the area when using silicone sealant for the brake reservoir and if you are reproofing the hood use some renovo.
