not sure I'd want to risk it - low mileage , little use, its spent a lot of its life sat still with the various seals drying out. Chims generally benefit from being used, low mileage can actually be detrimental to their well being.
No evidence in the advert of any servicing after 2003 , and a gap between 2000 and 2003 as well so possibly not very well cared for. Unless there is other documentation definitely avoid this one.
Hard to tell in the pics but that drivers seat looks rather worn for only 14k miles .

Lovely looker, and I don't agree about the seat, that's drying out through lack of use. Just don't understand why people buy them and don't use them. Agree totally about the price and particularly the lack of use drying everything out. That will need fresh oil and a very careful check from a good TVR expert before you go near your wallet, and it will probably give a lot of grief.
My 73.000 mile 4litre 99 car just passed a leak down test on Thursday. No cylinder worse than 2%. 245 bhp on the rollers. That's how using the car protects the engine. Leave it standing and the rust collects in the mechanicals and effectively acts like sandpaper on all the moving parts.

These cars typically do less than 3,000 miles a year and are laid up for the winter, often not being driven for 3 months at a time. A low mileage car could have a 100 mile blast every other week, so internally may not be any different to one that's double or triple the miles yet still had long periods of lay up.
A higher mileage car has probably had bushes and seals replaced simply because of the miles but at what point will they need doing again? Bottom line, maintenance is not cheap regardless of miles. Check the tyres, they could have good tread but may be old. The drfiver seat looks to have more wear than expected for 14k but not to the extent that it looks clocked.
The price is 500 money from a top dealer. 98R, shouldn't that be a facelift? I bought a 500 last autumn with 13k miles, paid significantly less than this one, have done 1,600 miles without any problems.
Yellow, hmmm... everyone knows the red ones are best

^^^^ this. I'm with you there QBee, the biggest secret with s Chim as how much car you get for the money! I took some times off a video I did, the car does what it says on the tin!!!! To do 0/60 in 4.4/5 without getting much grip is darn quick, I also timed it to 95-100 neptones about 11 secs, I've been thinking of the other cars I could have bought instead,,,,,, never ever will they be as good. It's British, we gave the world two seaters, and it feels bionic, looks like something off a film set, but you can fix it with pliers. Brilliant beautiful cars. I'd pay anything to get the right one, low milage just means after you've owned it awhile it's not low milage anymore! If you have a collection then you buy a low milage if you want to drive it buy one that's sorted regardless of age milage or looks!
