Time for a new rear window

Well I think it's time to get a new rear window for the Chimaera...I didn't see the police car that was following me...

Does anyone know of places around Yorkshire where I can get this done?

The surface has got all scratched and hazy over the years, making all the cars in the rear view mirror very blurred. I only recognised the nice Mr Policeman until it was too late...doh

Are you sure it actually needs replacing? I have read on other posts here that Brasso of all things is very good for cleaning, removing scratches and softening plastic rear windows. Haven't tried it myself yet, but intend to give it a go....

Further to this post my back window stitching has starting to break. Can this be re stitched. If so how much will it cost and where in the chester area can I get this done?

I've had a go with brasso, maybe it works ok on smaller scratches but I think these are a little more ingrained. It just made a patch of the screen look duller. Maybe needs a bit more elbow grease...

get a bottle of stuff from Renovo. It really works. Mine was translucent rather than transparent and now, apart from the creases in the plastic, it looks completely new.

First application you will be happy with, second time you do it makes it fantastic.

Obviously wash and dry it properly first and then spend the time rubbing the stuff in and half an hour later you'll be chuffed.

Just ordered a bottle of Platic Window Polish from Renovo and I'll see how I get on...maybe I'll be able to see the big white volvos with them blue flashy things on now
