Any idea what this is please?

I am fitting a new dashboard and went looking for a live feed switched on the ignition and found something I don't have a clue about, what it is or what it does?. Suggestions welcome please!

Be a bit easier to tell from a side shot, but that's my opinion...

Is there any LEDs

There are LED's in the dash but can't tell if they are linked to this or not. As for diodes, it's more than 30 years since I did those at college, so no idea if the car has them or needs them?

Hi Peter, it is to the right of the immobiliser, a couple of inches away from the heater controls. Thanks for having a look.

Had a look in the dash I have one as well
From looking at the car and the good book it looks like the diode for the LEDs
But not 100%

LED's are Diodes they don't need any more assistance and I stand to be corrected but they are related to the Indicators/Hazards from memory and there should be two of them

Thanks for looking. I haven't seen two of them but have had lots of fun getting the dashboard out today and swapping over the lower dash mounting brackets!
