Evening all

Part way through a body off at the moment and have started to think about the clean up/beautification (can't really believe I just said that) on completion.

What have people used to re-paint the engine bay ? This is how parts look at the moment. Do I need to remove all the black coating or just sand the rough edges and paint away ?

Plus, big milestone reached this weekend. The body is up !!! bounce

Frankly, I'm stunned at the condition of the outriggers. For what is almost a 13 year old car which, as far as I know, hasn't had any visible treatment, they seem to be in great condition.

This is after literally a 2 minute light sand (sorry about iPhone pic quality).

definately looks like chassis untreated, and like u say looks in pretty good shape.

I suspect the black paint is the same as the wheel arches and under the rear bumper . I was going to re-do my wheel arches and was pointed to this product..http://www.frost.co.uk/por-15-rubberized-under-coating-spray.html

it looks the same sort of stuff with same texture ect as the black areas under the bonnet.

if the link doesn't work it is on frost website search for por15 rubberised spray.

hope that helps
