Hi,

I need to buy a decent jack to get under the car and do odd jobs, usually just cleaning inside and behind the wheels and touching up the chassis etc.

But the thought of trying to clean a chassis on my back, with water with the car on axle stands doesn't seem that appealing!

I've seen these tilting car lifts and it looks like it would make cleaning underneath of the car much easier when you can tilt up each end. What do you think? Anyone used one? Would it be suitable for a Chimaera?

I'd love one of those scissor lifts that lift the car up to head height, but don't want to spend the £1,000 they demand.

Cheers,

Dan

I've never heard of these before but look like a great idea. So no advice about using one, but watching with interest.

Hmm, this thread doesn't seem to rate them very highly....

The adjustable ramps look good though. But no good if you want to take the wheel off!

Doesn't read well does it.

I happen to know that you can pick up 2 post ramps quite cheaply now but still a fair bit more than those.

I don't have the room for them at my house. I do at my dad's workshop, but I'd like to have something I can keep in my garage. Ideally something I can drag out onto the drive, lift or tilt the car and clean/paint underneath it.
