Chris

If you're after a fibreglass box, I have one you can have as I've fitted a larger battery.

its nearly summer...wait a few months and use an ice-cream tub lid and cover it in carpet (if thats necessary...who's gonna see it?).

is there a difference between early & late cars as i thought the battery boxes were different? also,is the bit of carpet that goes in front of the battery a different shape between early & late cars as mines an early car & the cover/carpet does not fit very well at all, i dint know if i had the wrong one in the car as the carpet colours are different shades.

I thought your battery sat above the fuse box in a recess in the inner wing wink where as the later car it sits on the floor with the fuse box above scratchchin

it does simon, with a fibreglass cover bolted on the front to hold the battery in. in front of that is the panel with the carpet on that hides the fuseboard/ecu from sight. its this panel on mine that seems to be the wrong shape? i didnt know if on early-late cars this panel was a different shape? cheers. paul.

Wow ... my fusebox inhabits the elevated and recessed position and the battery used to sit on the floor slightly below and in front of it ... never seen that arrangement before.
