Today I was sorely tempted to disown my mother.

This occurred in a car park and the impact was sub 10mph
Damage is solely fibreglass and headlight – but to say im gutted would be an understatement :’(
Past experience from friends says I wont be able to claim as amongst other thing its private ground behind gates

even worse is the car was ging up for sale in the next 2 weeks or so.

Ouch. Nothing much more to say other than sorry frown

Never nice to see something like that.

Shame that it got damaged but look on the bright side, the damage is superficial so no major damage that could write it off and when you get it done it will have a full front respray, that will surely help a sale and might yield a higher price!

Really sorry to see that but I would be challenging the info about not being able to claim as on private land. Fairly sure this no longer applies.

Best of luck.

I'd be inclined to get it fixed yourself anyway. Less interaction with the insurance 'industry' the better in my experience.

Ah bugger, sorry to see this fella. Can't see a problem with the insurance though. Hope it all works out.

Ouch, that looks a mess for such a low impact, did the culprit stop?

"Anyways back to me an mum bump starting the car
She couldn’t push fast enough so we swapped positions and she jumped in and I pushed."

She should've done some body building at the gym, she must've known you had a TVR.

Oh Man that's tough!

Strictly speaking you can't claim on the insurance as your Mum was driving... So if you are honest with the insurer and tell them I think you'll be footing the bill yourself I'm really sorry to say!

IF you need the details of a good repairer/sprayer drop me a PM or e-mail. Sean (the chap who's firm did mine) did an amazing job of it and even tidied a couple of other bits 'n' bobs out while he was there.

I can't recommend them highly enough.

In fact yesterday i had a chat with him about a full respray as seeing some of the cars at Neil Garner's made me fancy a "flip" paint job...

I'm really sorry to hear of your misfortune, it may seem odd to ask but is your Mum OK? I bet she's gutted too!

Well, if it was going up for sale anyway what sort of price are you thinking of for it now? I'm going to have to buy something soon biggrin

Good point

Do you want to borrow mine? i know it's not the same thing but you're welcome to if you want to. I'm away this weekend so can leave the keys with my lad and you can pick them up from him.

I'm only in Gloucester so it's not "much" out of the way..
