Hoping some of you more knowledgable chaps may be able to help. I'm in the middle of a body off and things were going pretty well up until this afternoon.

First off...how in the name of all that is censored are you meant to release the hand brake cable from the calliper ? The end of the cable is off its hook, but I just can't see a way of then threading it through the calliper body.

Secondly...I'm having real trouble in undoing the hoses from the copper pipes on both sides. The fronts were no problem, but it almost looks like the lone nut is just turning on the thread rather than taking the thread and coming off.

Any thoughts ? I'm hoping i've just missed something obvious but can't think what it could be.

P.s Hand brake cable and hoses are being changed for new and braided items so if I need to get medieval I can

cable should just knock out of the caliper. Big hammer and punch time if it wont budge. It will just be corosion.

If the thread has gone on the brake pipe. hacksaw it off.

Time to get heavy handed.
