Peeps, the drivers side seatbelt jams on the slightest of slopes making it jolly difficult to make up. Is the mechanism repairable or should I replace. If replacing does the tunnel fixing have nut the other side meaning getting underneath or does it go into a thread?

Thoughts please as it gets frustrating having to find level ground all the time.

Dave

If the reel at the bottom isnt positioned exactly right, horizontal axis, they lock up like this. Have a play with the reel, swisitng it one way or another slightly until it frees up. Then try and keep it in that position.

What is the size of the standard bottom Seatbelt reel mounting bolt? I'd like to make up a spacer (only about half an inch or so) to space the reel away from the carpet a little (and do the same and move the top mount forward a little too) so the belt doesn't rub against the carpet...

Cheers

Phil

If you start fiddling with seatbelt bolts just be careful it isn't seized up - i.e. don't go and wreck the threads / bolthead etc.

Good point Barychoc. When I did my body off I had a couple of bolts sheer.
