What's involved in fitting steering rack stops? What size are the washers? How many am I likely to need?,
I have 18" spiders now on a 95 model, so I know I need to chop out the old fuse box area in the front near side wheel arch, but I'm getting very light scuffing on full lock on the front centre of the inner arc.
Cheers

Can't recall the exact id/ods but they are @ 1" OD & 1/8" thick with a 45deg internal chamfer for maybe 1/16" and split. The split allows you to just clip them on with gaiter pulled back as they are just flexible plastic.

Reckon if you fit 7mm spacers and 35 tyres you'll be fine.

When i changed my front brakes and discs i took the calliper spacers out to fit the new ones the old set was chim 500 stock when i went for MOT the tester advised i should fit some sort of spacers back as on right full lock the front wheel looks like it might touch the wishbone i cant put the original calliper spacers back on but if i put the same width wheel spacers on or those rack stops would it need realigning/tracking again?

had mine properly geo'd and laser tracked all good fully aligned after id fitted new front discs and brake pads
