We had to call out the AA yesterday after the wifes Chim 500 started dumping petrol on the ground under the car level with the rear wheels. The AA man replaced a perished pipe that ran near the diff. He also reported that there were other rubber fuel lines perishing.

Are there many rubber fuel lines underneath? I thought that metal pipes would have been a better option at manufacture.

(We have already had the very risky two pipes at the front near the manifold replaced)

Rubber pipes all the way as far as I know, I suggest you replace the lot, when TVR's go up it's very quick.

Rubber and steel to pump then rubber to copper along chassis and rubber again up the bulkhead to the fuel rail iirc.

Replace all the rubber with good quality.

Thanks for the replies. Replacement is probably a standard TVR job requiring a gorilla with double jointed elbows and wrists!!

Northway Porsche keep a selection of Llamas on site (true). They might be able to help?

(Sorry, OP, not very helpful!)
