Is this the right window felt?

I've ordered some replacement window felt from racing green which arrived today, the only snag is it looks nothing like the felt I've just taken out. the felt I've removed is deeper and looks more closed.

I'm sure the felt I've removed has been messed around with before, so I'm wondering whether the new felt is actually the right one..

Can anyone who has done this before take a look and give me a view? I don't want to rebuild the door and find the seal is pants!
