As the tittle suggests can anyone direct me to an informative thread regards overhauling my steering components. Some nice pics would help. Search never seems to work! Cheers Al.

There are no new spare parts available ! The overhaul would be just changing seals and checking for any play ..That's why quit a few are moving to Impreza racks !

If you need a refurb I would recommend Western Power steering services ,they will organise collection ..I have bad memories of a certain company trying to refurb my rack ,it was fitted and removed three times ,the gator did a Mr Blobby ..

These links may help. Racetech do some basis seals and washers. Seem to remember that Sportmotive were fitting an Impreza rack to a customer car.

Thanks lads, just fitted new front tyres, errrr I have hardly any tracking, so that's a start, I have quite abit of play in the wheel, bothers me on the road but seemed just fine on a race track!! I'll see how it feels next wk at Marham!
Interesting point..... As another pistonhead pointed out to me a worn out tyre has less flex in the tread pattern often causing worse tracking, so I checked the old tyre and true to form, bloody hard, new tyre feels very soft in comparison, hense it acts more maliable on the road. I've not enjoyed the ride on old tyres the new ones, it's 10 times better!!!!
Same tyres!! It seems to be that tyres left lying around go hard!

So in essence before thinking all your joints are loose fecking check age and compound of tyre first. My old tyres I'd track left/right, allover the place, new tyres I can drive no handed! Massive difference. Well chuffed!

Why everytime there's a tiny problem you imagine engine out/ body lift, chassis twisted so much bks like that.
