Hi folks,

I am no electronics expert so please bare with me. I have a fan over ride switch on my car. I noticed when I first bought the car, from time to time all the dash lights would flash, warning lights, main beam, indicators etc. I didn't think anything of it and just assumed it was a TVR thing. I then started to notice that it did it whenever I used the fan switch to turn the fans on, I tested it and as I suspected, it happens whenever the fans cut in, switch or not.

Is this normal, does the fan circuit cause such a surge or have I got an bad earth somewhere?

That's not normal (if anything can be classed as that for a TVR :-) ).

It sounds like a poor earth somewhere. I'd start with the one at the front of the chassis (end of the lower rail on the drivers side) the fans earth there.

I'll take a look, I don't suppose there is a handy guide anywhere that would guide me to the Earth points?
