Do you mean the vent next to the door ?

If so, mine routes straight over your feet and the steering and disappears under the dash right by the centre vents. After that I'm not sure I'm afraid.

The hose from the vent, push fits into a similar ribbed hose that is routed over the steering column and under the dash at the rear of the radio.
A bit of gaffer tape over the join will prevent the hoses coming apart

The hose on mine is in 3 parts one from the vent connects into another hose that goes over the column, then this fits into another hose that goes into the dash behind the radio

Exactly the same as mine. Where does the pipe for yours go/finish ? Is it just hanging around loose in the top of the footwell ?

Will post a few pics this evening when I'm home.

I think you will find that it depends upon the build year of the car.

Early Chims, the hose simply went to the right hand foot well (to the right of the accelerator) - Its a large plenum, part of the inner front wing and open to the front of the car - just ram-effect air.

Then they put a fresh-air-blower in the right hand lower wing and fed that to the dash vent(s).

Then some have vents under the radio panel.

Some have Air Con....................they are all rather similar, but different??

Sorry if it doesn't help? But it might if you specify the age of the car and whether you have Ac or not??

Thats the same as mine (Mar 93), so just into the right hand void (the panel right of accel pedal etc) and you get ambient air when you move.

Unless you have a blower installed in there??

It's a mine -field trying to understand what's standard and what's not!!??

Is there another "hole" nearby??

If not, "blending" the pipe to the orifice will give you lots of ambient air...........to the square of your leptons, I believe??

It's not very subtle, but our early cars seem to have some agricultural features??

Mine is an early car and has the blower in the footwell! I have one of those hoses and it disappears somewhere behind the underside of the dash.

Do you get a lot of cold air in the footwell from that hole by the throttle?
