Stated the obvious above..

Went for MOT today and passed, then wouldnt start out of garage!

Pump primed then nothing, pump primed then nothing,pum.....etc etc

Every time i reurned the key back to neutral position, there was a sound of three clicks coming from the engine.

Guy tested power to starter and nothing, but he he said live feed was there?

Bumped start her and bingo..

Parked up at home and turned engine on and off at least 10 times and no issues.

Garage reckoned could be Imobiliser issue?

What do i do next?

Sounds the same as mine. Every now and then I have to wait a minute then re set it. Even had to get out and lock it then start again. It's always worked so far touch wood. Could be the only answer is spend a wk in France and drop into Carls place, have the lot updated.

Hot start problem. Mine did this after an MOT. Exact same thing. Remember they have been reving it on the ramps to check Co2 etc and then just turned it off wink
I fitted the kit and its never done it since. I also lower my stat when it goes in for the MOT wink

Have a look at the ignition barrel, there is in effect a switch on the rear of the barrel that makes the electrical contacts. Now factor in how many times you turn it on and off and its gotta wear a little? and after all its a Vauxhall part! I still occasionaly get the same problematical "turn the key" and all the electric has evaporated moment and I don't use any of the orginal engine wiring or immobiliser, mine developed another issue in that the starter was sticking on and this was traced to the ignition switch

mine had a moment on the MOT ramp as well, blew the 100amp fuse for some reason. Didn't have a spare so had to go for a drive to fetch one, oops!! hasn't happened again since though? She must have just been nervous about the test? biggrin

Alas, Mr Beer's kit is more than double that cost now (or it was when I bought one last year).

If I leave my lights on for more than a few minutes with the engine off I have the same problem, fuel pumps prime but nothing from the engine. Bump start it and a short drive and it will stop and start all day long. When your MOT was being done, the tester could have left your lights on for a while resulting in my problem. If your car starts first time in the morning, turn it off but leave your lights on for five minutes. If it doesn't start after that then you know that was the problem.
