Keys locked in car ignition on bit urgent!

OK, my car is 240 miles away with my 70 year old Aunt, it was only going to be there a week but due to other pressures that has turned into three, she has dutifully been starting it once a week and letting it run, just had a text to say its stalled and the apparently locked itself, I left the boot open so I had access to the acumate but she seems to have shut that too, the concern is that the ignition is on. Only had a similar situation to this with my first Griff (SE), its a MK1 Chim 500(96) is the procedure the same to get into the car, obviously don't post here.
